Electricity Retailer Comparison Widget

The tool aims to determine which retailer works out the cheapest plan overall and cheapest GreenPower plan for you based on the information you provide. Currently we can only do this for NSW, QLD (Energex only), Tasnetworks, SA and ACT. We will look into Vic when we can and ask for your patience as the number of networks in Vic exceeds the five states I listed above.

I had to do a work-around to get this operational and you may need to zoom out from the widget area a little bit if you are using a device other than a laptop/desktop. The yellow cells are the input ones to enter values. There are a total of four tabs at the bottom of the widget area: calculator, heat map, heat map GreenPower based on your load profile for different usage levels and a comparison of the retailers based on the entered values.

*iI you have one year worth of 5/15/30 min interval data you would like me to help you analyse, please let me know and I'll be happy to split them into peak, shoulder and off-peak for the calculator. You would need to request this data in its detailed format from your retailer or network distributor).

*Please note that rates may be out of date, ensure you compare the above rates to the offer on the retailer's website. If you find this calculator helpful, email me any prices that have not been reflected in my file yet. I will not be adding winback/non-public offers as these do not apply for all customers (i.e. a customer on 2000kWh/year will get a different winback offer to a 20000kWh/year customer).
